This semester we read from the text book New Perspectives on The Internet Comprehensive by Jessica Evans and Ryan Hooper. In writing ten chapter summaries, I've gained an understanding of the text that I would not have by simply reading it and taking a quiz. Summarizing the chapter by way of relating to my own life establishes a connection that I'll remember and and think of the textbook (and the class) for a very long time.
