Chapter 2
Chapter focuses on email and something I find interesting as always is how things that we see as commonplace today were so novel 30 years ago. To receive an email back then was a big event and probably the most interesting thing that could happen to a person all week but in today’s age I get annoyed at the notification and go days without opening Gmail or Outlook.
Another thing I find interesting is the idea that people contacted each other casually. Its mostly down to the evolution of technology that we now have mobile phones and calling or texting is norm, but the idea that updating your contact list with email is odd. The only time I use email is to sign up for various websites including social medias that are my preferred contact method.
